Campus community invited to a film screening and panel discussion examining the issues of disparate treatment of Black girls in school systems across the country.
"One of the most exciting things to happen at a university is the creation of new knowledge," said ÍúÍú×ÊÔ´ President Ioannis Miaoulis. "SASH is a day celebrating scholarship for the University. It gives an opportunity for students and faculty to go around and see all the creative work from this year."
Commencement celebrations for ÍúÍú×ÊÔ´ and ÍúÍú×ÊÔ´ Law Class to feature in-person Grad Walks, graduates will be allowed to bring two guests to watch their processional and then depart campus.
These ÍúÍú×ÊÔ´ students and alums developed the state's vaccination plans and launched a clinic. They’re processing Covid tests, calling those who test positive, making accessible face masks, and helping at-risk seniors. Their work may differ, but they are all motivated by a sense of urgency about mitigating – and ending – this pandemic.
Akunvabey will provide strategic leadership and champion programs, policies and practices that support an anti-racist, diverse and equitable community across the university.
